Rejang people in southwesternSumatra ,Indonesia . It is a Malayo-Polynesian language but has not been further classified. It has five major dialects. The language is quite different from the similarly named language group Rejang-Baram which is spoken on the island ofBorneo inSarawak andKalimantan .It is estimated that there are up to a million Rejang speakers.
