Robert Heal (Canadian author)

Robert Heal is a Canadian author and businessman born in Hamilton, Ontario. He is a dog trainer, dog show judge and author of several books about dogs.

Since 1970 Heal has been an international dog judge specializing in Great Danes. His assignments have taken him throughout Europe and North America, to Australia and South Africa.

He has judged such prestigious competitions as the Great Dane Club of America National Specialty and Britain's Crufts. He has also been a successful Dane breeder, winning Best in Breed, All Breeds, in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. He is the only Canadian ever to win the Great Dane Club of America National Specialty.

He lives with his wife, Shirley, in Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

His books include

"He Whacked the Bloody Lot", a biography of dog judge and breeder Bill Siggers.
