History
The Junior League organized the
Race for the Cure in 1983. It was only the 2nd location outside of Dallas at the time. They also run Julep's Closet, Peoria's largest garage sale and the Junior League's largest fund-raiser. Two local playgrounds have been built: The Tricentennial Playground atGlen Oak Park , and the Rolling River Playground along Peoria's riverfront.Notable past projects
