The Potawatomi Zoo is a zoo in eastern South Bend, Indiana. In addition to the animals, there is a train ride around the western half of the zoo and an old-fashioned engineer that makes the ride for young and old a fun-filled learning experience. The zoo is one part of Potawatomi Park, which includes a softball diamond, tennis courts, a swimming pool, picnic area, band shell, and Kid's Kingdom Playground.

Founded in 1902 [http://sbpark.org/zoo/zoo_facts.htm South Bend Parks and Recreation Department ] ] , Potawatomi is Indiana's oldest zoo. It features over 400 animals on 23 acres of land, and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
