Corner outfielders

Corner outfielders

In baseball, corner outfielders are outfielders who play the corner positions of right field and left field. Corner outfielders are typically not as good fielders as center fielders but make up for this deficiency with their bat.The main differences between left and right fielders, the two types of corner outfielders, can be summarized as follows:
*Left fielders have worse arms than right fielders but are quicker and better fielders. They have more balls hit to them, as right handed pull hitters will tend to hit balls to left field.
*Right fielders have better arms than left fielders but are slower and typically worse defensively.Often, when an outfield prospect first arrives in the majors, he plays both corner positions before settling at one or another.
