Franklin High School is home to TX-9410, a unit formed jointly with nearby Coronado High School. Consisting of one cadet squadron, the unit is reputable for its award-winning drill teams, high unit assessments, and the success of its graduates outside of high school. The program has had two cadets move into the U.S. military academies.

Hornedo Middle School [http://hornedo.episd.org/] , Lincoln Middle School, Harry S. Brown Middle School, and Oran Roberts Elementary. [http://brown.episd.org/] . Brown Middle School opened in August 2007 taking Hornedo's Grade 6 and 7 students to reduce overcrowding. Hornedo Middle School, adjacent to Franklin, now consists of Grade 8 Middle School students and Grade 9 Franklin Freshmen. The Hornedo building is also called the Franklin Ninth Grade Center, for the reason being that Hornedo houses Franklin's ninth grade students.Band

The Franklin Band is directed by Mr. Bruce Beach and Mr. Daniel Allen.
The Franklin High School Band includes:
• Marching Band
• Color Guard
• 3 Concert Bands
• 2 Jazz Bands
• Winter Guard
All of our ensembles consistently receive 1st Division ratings at EPISD, UIL Area Contests and other festivals locally, statewide and nationwide.
The Franklin Band is very proud of each individual student's drive for excellence. Each year, there are a large number of students that participate in All Region Band, advance to the Area level, and make the Texas All State Band. The "Star of the West" band hosts our district Solo and Ensemble each year, and generally has the largest number of entries and receives numerous 1st Division ratings.
The Franklin Band and has a nationally recognized drumline, which was awarded second place at P.A.S.I.C. in Austin, Texas, at the Stand-still division in 2006.
FHS Band Booster Organization
Our mission is to support band activities of the Franklin HS Band Programs, its Directors, and its Students. The Band Boosters are made up of parents, the directors and students. The Band Boosters strive to:
• Promote the Band Programs
• Promote the benefits of the Band Program through public awareness
• Promote a spirit of volunteerism through wholesome camaraderie and synergistic activity
• Solicit, collect, handle and utilize funds in promotion of the activities of the band to ensure its competitive edge
• Manage fundraising activities, special events and special trips directly related to the Band Program
Our goal is to assist the band program in its efforts to represent Franklin HS as the “Star of the West.”
