The MVPs

The MVPs

The MVPs are a musical group based in Torrance, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. They are not signed to a major label, but produce and distribute their albums independently.

The group is a nine-piece band with three lead singers: Wes Quave, Deanna Johnston, and Trey Parker (not the co-creator of "South Park"). Also among those in the MVPs are Mike Todd, director of film and television for ASCAP, and Justin Reinhardt, who is the film scorer for the cult movie classic "Swingers".

The MVPs have performed at various events, private parties, and venues such as Centennial Olympic Park, Hollywood Park, and at least two Las Vegas casinos. The group has also opened for Jessica Simpson and Kelly Clarkson. The last two years, they have performed as part of Independence Day weekend celebrations in Lakewood, California.

Johnston appeared on the CBS series "" in 2005, hoping to replace the late Michael Hutchence as that group's lead singer. After Johnston was eliminated, she rejoined the MVPs.
