Bacúch

Bacúch ( _de. Batzuch, Watzuch; _hu. Vacok) is a village and municipality in Brezno District, in the Banská Bystrica Region of Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1563 such as a part of the mine district of Brezno. It belonged to Banská Bystrica families Schaffer and Gaismair. The nickname of Bacúch is Zázrakovo (in English language a wonder place).
