Sir Robert Parning, or Parving, (d.
August 26 ,1343 ) was an English lawyer and administrator. He served asChief Justice of the King's Bench from 1340 to 1341, Treasurer from January to October 1341,Powicke "Handbook of British Chronology" p. 101] and Chancellor from 1341 to 1343.Powicke "Handbook of British Chronology" p. 84] Originally fromCumberland , he wasknight of the shire for this county five times between 1325 and 1332. He was married, but had no surviving sons, and when he died inLondon in 1343 his inheritance was divided up between his sisters.References
