Aristotelous Square

Aristotelous Square

Aristotelous Square (Greek "Πλατεία Αριστοτελους") is one of the main squares of Thessaloniki, Greece. It is located in the western part of the city, and crosses the three main avenues. The Christmas festivals are always held there and it commonly serves as the site of music concerts and political speeches.

As it resembles a bottle when viewed from the air, an aerial photograph of the square was recently used in an advertisement for Absolut Vodka. "Aristotelous Square" is named after the ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle.
