binomial_authority = Waite, 1910The longsnout pipefish, "Leptonotus norae", is a pipefish of the family Syngnathidae, found around New Zealand including the Auckland Islands, at depths of between 37 and 212 m. Its length is up to 21 cm.

Ovoviviparous, the male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail.
