Benjamin Thomas Zobrist (born May 26, 1981 in Eureka, Illinois) is an American baseball player and currently plays in Major League Baseball for the Tampa Bay Rays. He is a switch-hitter and throws right-handed. Zobrist usually plays shortstop, and is noted for wearing old-fashioned stirrups. He played college baseball for Dallas Baptist University and also played for Olivet Nazarene University.

Drafted by the Houston Astros in the 6th round of the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft, he was traded to Tampa Bay along with Mitch Talbot from the Astros for Aubrey Huff and cash on July 12, by|2006.

On September 26, 2008, Ben Zobrist became one of two players who hit ten home runs in under 200 at-bats.

Zobrist is a former counselor for Camp of Champions USA, a Christian camp. [http://www.cocusa.org/?q=taxonomy/term/2+3+4&page=7] He uses Christian rap artist TobyMac's song "Ignition" as his entrance song.
