Kenyon Nicholson

John Kenyon Nicholson Born in Crawfordsville, Indiana 1894. Died 1984. Graduate of Wabash College ,1917. Nicholson relocated to to New York to further his work as a playwright.

"The Barker (1926)" was made into several movies under different titles and was one of the longest-running plays on Broadway. "Sailor Beware", though much-changed from his play, later became the popular Dean Martin/Jerry Lewis film. A veteran of the World War I, he was married to Lucille Niklas. There were no children. He was also a founding member of the famed Bucks County Playhouse in Pennsylvania.
