Notable_instruments =John Pettibone is the current vocalist for Seattle metalcore band
Himsa . Before joining up with the band for the 2001 release of the "Death Is Infinite" EP, Pettibone was the lead vocalist for Undertow, astraight edge hardcore band which was also based out of Seattle. He also did vocals for Nineironspitfire for a short time.Besides working with Himsa, John is currently the lead vocalist for The Vows. The band, made up of members from other local hardcore bands such as Champion, released a self-titled EP in mid-2006 on
Indecision Records , and the same release as a 7" on Dead and Gone Records. In addition to his work with The Vows, Pettibone is also the vocalist in sludge/crust influenced metal band Iamthethorn, who are signed to Goodfellow Records, released their debut EP, "You Are The Lamb" February 20th, 2007.John was featured on the
Bleeding Through song "Rise" off the "Portrait of the Goddess" album.John also contributed backing vocals on the
