The Greenville Zoo is a small zoo in Greenville, South Carolina, United States. The zoo is located at 150 Cleveland Park Drive, near Interstate 385, on a 14 acre site within Cleveland Park.

Description

The zoo's official website states: "A typical visit would last from an hour to an hour and 15 minutes." The zoo is next to Cleveland Park, which contains picnic tables throughout the site, and the general park location offers bicycle and walking paths, tennis and volleyball courts, playgrounds for children, and several shelters available by reservation. The zoo is open daily throughout the year except for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. The hours of admission are 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with gates closing at 5:00 PM (all times Eastern). Fees are $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children ages 3–15, with free admission for children under three.

The zoo features two African elephants, several primates, and other African animals. In addition to the wild animal exhibits, the zoo contains a farm exhibit which features domestic animals and a reptile house. The Greenville Zoo has seen several recent animal births. "Triplet" baby red pandas were born on June 6, 2006 but are too young for public view yet. Another recent birth was a male baby Bornean orangutan on January 23, 2006. He is small with very little top hair and won't develop cheek flaps or pouches until around age thirteen.

The zoo has also recently added a new African elephant and plans to add a giraffe in 2007. User reviews of the zoo generally praise the well-maintained grounds, but some complain of the small area and relatively few animals on view.
