Jenny Lee-Wright (born
February 21 ,1947 inLondon ,England ) is a Britishactress anddance r who later became aFoley artist .At age 16, Jenny left school to train with the
Ballet Rambert . Within a year, she became part of a Frenchcabaret group that travelled the world. Upon returning to England, she joinedLionel Blair 's dance troupe, and then turned to acting, appearing with suchcomedian s asMorecambe and Wise ,Dick Emery ,Spike Milligan (in his "Q" series),Frankie Howerd ,Tommy Cooper and, most famously,Benny Hill . Her work with Hill in particular earned her the nickname The Sexiest Stooge. Othertelevision appearances included "Masterspy" (as Miss Moneypacker), "The Golden Shot ", and "The Protectors .In 1970, she made her
film debut inJohn Cassavetes ' "Husbands", in which she played the role of Pearl Billingham. Other film roles included "Madhouse" and "The Triple Echo". But in the late 1980s, she switched to Foley work, beginning with "My Left Foot" (1989) and continuing to the 1990s and beyond, with such credits as "Muppet Treasure Island " (1996), "Shakespeare in Love " (1998), the 2002James Bond movie "Die Another Day ", and the 2004 version of "The Phantom of the Opera". She had dabbled in Foley work as early as the 1970s in-between acting jobs, and in a 1976magazine interview attributed her sense of timing in that field to her training as a dancer.Jenny was immortalized in a 1989 song by British band The Highliners called "The Benny Hill Boogie."
