HMCS Red Deer (J255)

The HMCS "Red Deer" (J255) was a Bangor Class Minesweeper that served in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II.

The "Red Deer" was of the 1940-1941 construction period. Built by Canadian Vickers Ltd. in Montreal, Quebec, she was commissioned in November 1941 and served in the Royal Canadian Navy until she was paid off in October 1945. 126 RCSCC Red Deer is a Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corp in Red Deer, Alberta that is named after the HMCS Red Deer.
