Daharki is a city of Ghotki District in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is the capital of Daharki Taluka - an administrative subdivision of the district.^[1] It is situate about 100 km from Sukkur, and between Mirpur Mathelo and Ubaro.

This is a small city like town in province of Sindh in Pakistan. Daharki is a business centre with numerous industries particularly cotton factories. There are several religious places in the city including: Bhurchundi Shareef, Chalan Faqeer, Peer Aziz Karmani(near Ubaro), Peer Pakhroi Laal, Soi Shareef and Peer Gulab Shah Bukhari.

A fertilizer firm, ENGRO Fertilizers Ltd is located here. The company recently build a new fertilizer plant here which is the world's largest Ammonia / Urea plant in the world, also its prill tower about 128 meters high is the highest tower of the world.^[2] Reference by: H.N. Chandio.

The city also has a gas company named Mari gas co. Ltd. Nearby, a 235MW power station named Liberty Power Plantis located.

Foundation Power Company (Daharki) Limited (FPCDL), a subsidiary of Fauji Foundation, involves construction of a 176 MW, low-BTU gas fired, Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) near Daharki, Sindh. The Plant is modern with respect to its technology and functioning. The Project will start its Commercial Operation from 10 September 2009. This Combined Cycle Plant is radically different from its peers being set up in the country mainly because of it uses low BTU gas from a dedicated gas field under a 25-year agreement and because of its unique financing structure, arranged by Askari Bank Limited (formerly Askari Commercial Bank Limited). Salman Bawaney from Askari Bank Limited's Investment Banking Division is the man responsible for arranging and structuring the financing for this project.

Tribes

There are many tribes in the district, the main tribe, the Dahirs are believed to be descended from Raja Dahir. Some of the Dahirs have migrated to Rahim Yar Khan in Punjab.

The other main are:Syed,Jalbani,Qazi, Memon, Kori, Samo, Soomro, Tunios, Mahar,Shar, Dayo, Malik, Chhijan, Laghari, Bhutto, Mangrio, Pitafi, Burriro, Kanju, Jat, Kobhar, Mughal, Arain, Kambho, Tanwari, Chachar, Mochi, Mangi, Awan, Rajri, Chandio, Rahar,Jalbani,Korai,Khokar,Jumani, Rid and Samejo. There are many more castes systems, there are also big communities of Hindu and Christians also, almost 76% of business is run by people from the Hindu community. The city

In the city there are about 3 medical centres , along with around 50 GPs who are running clinics. There are 20 cotton factories,fertilizer fectory, Mari Gas compny & Sugur mills situated in it.
