The Promotion Marketing Association is an
advocacy group andtrade association for thepromotion andintegrated marketing and sector. It seeks to "be the voice of the promotion industry, recognized and relied upon as the primary resource of promotion education, information and interaction for marketers."Established in 1911, the Promotion Marketing Association, Inc (PMA) is the premier not-for-profit organization and resource for research, education and collaboration for marketing professionals.
The Promotion Marketing Association was established by a group of marketers who wanted to create standards of excellence and best practices in promotion marketing, and to raise awareness and understanding of how promotion builds brands. PMA's focus on best practices and brand-building holds true today.
As the industry has grown and evolved, so too has PMA. Today, the PMA membership has expanded to a diverse base of corporate members representing thousands of brands worldwide, including leaders in marketing / manufacturing companies, agencies, suppliers, law firms, academic institutions, and retail organizations.
Representing the $400+ billion promotion marketing industry, the organization is championing the highest standards of excellence and recognition in the promotion and integrated marketing industry globally, PMA's objective is to foster a better understanding of promotion and integrated marketing and its role in the overall marketing process. The PMA is headquartered in New York City.
Its president is Bonnie J. Carlson. The Past President, Claire Rosenzweig, is now President of the
