Miguel Civil is an assyriologist at the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago, and a scholar of Sumerology.[1][2][3]
Civil's training includes a Ph.D. at the University of Paris in 1965. Civil has written several books, and is also editor of the lexical series Materials for the Sumerian Lexicon (MSL).
