Decatur Independent School District is a public school district based in Decatur, Texas (USA).
Decatur Independent School District is a 3A School District northwest of Fort Worth. Decatur ISD is centered in Decatur, Texas, county seat in Wise County. The district has 5 campuses: Decatur High School, McCarroll Middle School, Carson Elementary School, Rann Elementary School, and Young Elementary.
In the 2007-2008 school, Decatur ISD's enrollment was approximately 2,850 students.
In addition to Decatur, the district also serves a portion of New Fairview.
In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[1]
