Raju Narisetti

Raju Narisetti (born June 26 1966 in Hyderabad) is one of the highest-ranked journalists of Indian origin [http://www.saja.org] , having worked for 13 years at the "Wall Street Journal" in the U.S. and Europe. Narisetti graduated from Indiana University in 1991 [ [http://www.indiana.edu/~iuadmit/about/afteriu.shtml After IU] indiana.edu] .

Until June 2006, he was editor of the Wall Street Journal Europe and a Deputy Managing Editor of the Wall Street Journal with overall responsibility of Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Raju Narisetti is currently editor of "Mint", India's fastest growing business newspaper (see the paper at www.livemint.com) that was launched on 1 February 2007 by HT Media Ltd., India's second-largest media company that is headquartered in New Delhi. The Wall Street Journal is an exclusive content and business partner for Mint in India.

In May 2007, Mint has a daily (Monday-Saturday)circulation of 120,000, making it the No. 2 business daily in both Mumbai and Delhi. It is available in five Indian cities--New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chandigarh and Pune.

Raju Narisetti was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2007. He is a lifemember of South Asian Journalists Association and in June 2007 elected to the board of the World Editors Forum of the World Association of Newspapers. He is on the Board of Oxfam India.

Raju lives in New Delhi with his wife, Kim Barrington Narisetti, and daughters Leila and Zola.
