The transmitter, between
Beverley andSouth Cave 500 ft up on theYorkshire Wolds is quite powerful over the relatively flat surrounding area being heard clearly in most of South Yorkshire as well. The signal reaches right across to the highest point of the M62 near junction 22 with the A672, the highest point of the A66, much ofLincolnshire , and as far south asNottingham on the M1, near theTrowell service station and Newark. It also broadcastsViking FM on 96.9FM (Radio Humberside's old frequency),Galaxy 105 on 105.8FM andBBC DAB National (since 20th April 2006). The Paull transmitter also hasVirgin Radio on 1215MW andTalkSPORT on 1053MW.
