Armstrong was born in Owen Sound, Ontario. An actor and coach for film and television, his varied career includes 5 seasons in his critically acclaimed portrayal of Blake on Showtime's Queer as Folk, as well as roles in Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings, The Listener, Saw 3D, and Haven. Armstrong was also the host of the CBC 6-part mini-series Triple Sensation II and spent 2 years on Broadway starring in Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Rent.
The Founder and Executive Producer of Appulse Films, the company's first feature entitled Verona, directed by Laurie Lynd (Breakfast with Scot), is scheduled for release in 2011.
Director of Armstrong Acting Studios, Armstrong is one of Canada's most sought-after episodic and feature film pre-production and on-set coaches. Credits include:
