Evros Prefecture ,Greece . Population 3,335 (2001). The seat of the municipality is in Anthia (Greek: 'Ανθεια).Municipal districts

The city was first founded by the Romans during the Roman rule and was mainly named after
Trajan , it first built a few baths which made the area famous for bathers. The city was later ruled by the Byzantines and the Ottomans, during that period the Roman bath was renovated by the OttomanGazi Evrenos and was known as "Hana". Its first Greek rule in over five centuries was in 1912 during theFirst Balkan War but it was yet to be claimed. TheBulgaria ns invaded the area during theSecond Balkan Wars and annexed that section of land to that country from the Ottomans. The Greek rule returned in 1920 and Traiainoupoli was finally claimed and ceded to Greece. AfterWorld War II and theGreek Civil War , its buildings were rebuilt. Much of the houses were stone built until the 1960s. Electricity arrived in the same year. Vehicles arrived in the 1970s, the pavement of the main road and television arrived in the 1970s and computer and internet in the 21st century.Other
