European Civil Aviation Conference

The European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) or Conférence Européenne de l'Aviation Civile (CEAC) is an international organization with close ties to the United Nations, the International Civil Aviation Organization, the Council of Europe and the institutions of the European Union such as EUROCONTROL and the Joint Aviation Authorities. ECAC was founded in 1955 in order to "promote the continued development of a safe, efficient and sustainable European air transport system by harmonis [ing] civil aviation policies and practices amongst its Member States [and promoting] understanding on policy matters between its Member States and other parts of the world".
