Yarpole [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/532439] is a small village in rural [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/532444] north Herefordshire between Leominster and Ludlow, Shropshire.

St Leonard's church [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/532423] chancel was restored by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1864. "The Buildings of England: Herefordshire", Nikolaus Pevsner, 1963 p 327 ISBN 0-14-071025-6] The church has a separate bell tower [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/532424] . The main timbers of the bell tower have been dated by dendrochronology to 1192, making this one of the oldest timber-framed structures in England. [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/532425]
