Andy Lynch (born 20 October, 1979 in England) is an English rugby league player who currently plays for Bradford Bulls. His usual position is prop.

Andy uses his size to good effect and takes a lot of stopping, and if he breaks into space he has quite a deceptive turn of pace.

Castleford

Played for Castleford Tigers in the early 2000s. Andy made steady progress at the Jungle, gaining Yorkshire and England honours.

Andy established himself as one of the leading young prop forwards in 2003 and deservedly won a place in Super League's 'Dream Team'. It was no surprise when he won the Tigers 2003 Player of the Year award.

Bradford Bulls

Lynch signed for Bradford Bulls in 2004 where he has improved year upon year.

Andy won a number of club awards in 2006 for his performances for Bradford Bulls, these included; Supporters' Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year, BISA Player of the Year and Best Forward of the Year.

Representative

Andy won a place in the England 'A' set up for the match against the Kiwis and the South Seas tour at the end of the 2002 season and again in 2003 he was in the England 'A' squad who won the European Nations title.

He also came very close to a call up for Great Britain's test series with Australia having impressed when figuring for the Yorkshire side that won the 'Origin' clash in 2004, but Lynch was called up to the Great Britain Squad in 2006 for the 2006 Tri nations.

In June 2007 Lynch was called up to the Great Britain squad for the Test match against France [cite web|url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/6744909.stm|title=Eight new faces in Lions squad|publisher=BBC|date=2007-06-12|accessdate=2007-06-12] he was called up for the Great Britain Train on Sqaud for the 2007 test series with New Zealand.

He played for Northern Union side against All Golds in October 2007.

He has been forced to rule himself out contention for the England training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup through injury.cite web|url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_league/7604682.stm|title=Deacon pulls out of England squad|publisher=BBC|date=2008-09-16|accessdate=2008-10-03]
