Brad Church (born
November 14 ,1976 inDauphin, Manitoba ) is aCanadian ice hockey forward who played two games for theWashington Capitals . Chosen first by the Capitals in the1995 NHL Entry Draft , Church spent most of his time in the minors and never quite reached his potential. After several years, the Capitals traded him in 1999 to theEdmonton Oilers , but never made the parent club.Church retired as a player following the 2005–06 season, and joined the
Phoenix Roadrunners of theECHL as an assistant coach. With eight games remaining in the season, head coach Ron Filion announced his resignation, and Church became the team's head coach. He led the club to their first ECHL playoff appearance, where they were swept by theLas Vegas Wranglers in four games. Church will return to the Roadrunners bench for the 2007–08 season. Besides coaching, Church has taken on the teams managerial roll as well. His duties include, but are not limited to: Contract preparation, immigration, and other administrative duties.
