Echo Eggebrecht (b. 1977,
Bangor, Maine ) is aNew York painter.She received her
BFA in 2000 at theSchool of the Art Institute of Chicago and her MFA atHunter College in 2006.In a "New York Times" review of Eggebrecht's solo show at Gallery Sixtyseven, Roberta Smith wrote that Eggebrecht "distinguishes herself" and that her art "favors empty landscapes, whose roiled grass is meticulously rendered and dotted with wry contradictions and bits of Americana."
