Ma'anit ( _he. מענית) is a kibbutz located near the town of Pardes Hanna-Karkur in northern Israel. It falls under the jurisdiction of Menashe Regional Council.

History

The kibbutz was established in 1942 by members of the Hashomer Hatzair group who had immigrated from Czechoslovakia and Poland. It's name refers to the first furrow ploughed in a field. The analogy was presented in Abraham Hertzfeld's speech about settlement in the area in which he saw its establishment as being the first of many. The locality of Ketzir-Herish (meaning "Harvest" and "Plowing") was founded soon after.

Due to its location near Wadi Ara, it was on the front line during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War and was attacked by the Iraqi Army.
