Witherspoon's film appearances include Libeled Lady (1936), Madame X (1937), Quality Street (1937), Marie Antoinette (1938), Dark Victory (1939), The Women (1939), The Mating Season (1951), and It Should Happen to You (1954). One of her more substantial roles was as W. C. Fields' harridan wife in The Bank Dick (1940).
