Richard Spenser "Rick" Schu (born January 26, 1962 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a former Major League Baseball player. Schu grew up in Fair Oaks, California and was signed as an amateur free agent out of Del Campo High School by the Philadelphia Phillies. Schu played primarily third base for the Philadelphia Phillies (by|1984–by|1987, by|1991), Baltimore Orioles (by|1988–by|1989), Detroit Tigers (1989), California Angels (by|1990) and Montreal Expos (by|1996). On July 11, 2007, he replaced Kevin Seitzer as the hitting coach for the Arizona Diamondbacks. [cite press release
