heartland rock erBob Seger , off his album "Stranger in Town ". A melodic, piano-based seduction ballad, it was a hit single for Seger and theSilver Bullet Band , reaching number 13 on the U.S. pop charts and becoming a mainstay ofadult contemporary radio airplay ever since. Seger's recording was not an immediate hit in the UK, reaching number 41 there, but made it to number 22 during a 1995 re-release.In 1983, country-pop star
