Mikio Yahara Born April 4, 1947
Ehime, JapanStyle Shotokan Teacher(s) Masatoshi Nakayama, Hirokazu Kanazawa Mikio Yahara (矢原 美紀夫 Yahara Mikio , born April 4, 1947) is a Japanese Shotokan karateka and Chief Instructor of the Karatenomichi World Federation. He is famous for his performance of the Unsu kata.[citation needed]
After graduating from Kokushikan University, he became Kenshusei in the Japan Karate Association and had a competitive career from 1974-84.[citation needed]
In April 2000 he established the Karatenomichi World Federation. The KWF is a Shotokan karate association that is dedicated to developing technical excellence. Yahara believes that the purpose of karate is to be able to destroy an opponent with one killing blow.[1]
