Smoking
Truro College is a strictly non-smoking campus. Users are reminded of this frequently, with 'no smoking' signs on every corner of all college buildings, and notices on television screens inside the buildings. Any student caught smoking on campus will be taken to a PTL's office where he will be disciplined. College staff have a duty to ensure crowds of smokers are standing either by the busy A390 or in the residential estate.
College users must also refrain from smoking in the Nisa Local car park, where security guards enforce this. Although the college do not help those who wish to quit, the Director of Operations echoes the advice given on billboards and the back of some cigarette packs: the NHS Stop Smoking Service is there to help.
