His sharp features also meant that he has played his fair share of baddies, and appeared in twoJames Bond films, "Goldfinger" (1964) as an eastern agent counterpart of Bond's and in "You Only Live Twice" (1967) as one of the Japanese operatives and announcers ofErnst Stavro Blofeld in his volcano base.Another notable film role was in "
The Inn of the Sixth Happiness " as the leader of a prison revolt who later aids the main character in leading orphans to safety and heroically dies to save them.During the 1970s, Kwouk featured in many UK television productions that called for a man of East Asian appearance.
