Kate Copstick

Kate Copstick is a Scottish television actress, television presenter, writer and director. She is best known for her roles on the children's TV shows "No. 73" and "ChuckleVision". She also played Marlene Marlowe in "Marlene Marlowe Investigates" and performed as part of the ensemble cast of former Saturday Morning kid's show, "On The Waterfront".

A long-time chief comedy reviewer for The Scotsman newspaper,cite web |url=http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/arts/3555382.stm|title= BBC News, 11th August 2004] she was named "Shit Journalist of the Year" in "The Liar" following her remarkable review of "Colin & Fergus" at the 2004 Edinburgh Festival. In her review, Copstick confidently informed readers of "The Scotsman" that Colin & Fergus should "work on their script, which has more weak spots than the Hutton Report"Fact|date=February 2007. However three days later, the show was awarded "Best Sketch Show", by the Writers' Guild of Great Britain, primarily for excellent scriptwriting.Fact|date=February 2007

Copstick, who is bisexual, is also well known as a commentator on human sexuality. She is the author of "Masterclass: Girl on Girl" (Forthcoming - 2008), "Porn Week" (2007) and "The Illustrate Book of Sapphic Sex" (2000). A frequent contributor to the Erotic Review, she is particularly known as an advocate of the BDSM lifestyle. In her new professional role, she has expressed a wish to be known only by her surname.

Copstick is also the producer on the Natural Born Racers series that follows the Virgin Media R6 cup which is currently filming its fifth series.

Copstick was mentioned on the Ricky Gervais live stand-up DVD "Fame" regarding a negative review of the show she wrote for The Scotsman . Gervais describes her as looking like "Syd Little in drag".
