Uwe Grodd is a German conductor and
flautist based inNew Zealand . He has performed and recorded internationally for over 25 years. Uwe conducted the gala opening night of theHändel Festival Halle inGermany of 2003 with "Le Choeur des Musiciens du Louvre" fromGrenoble followed by a highly successful season of Händel's rediscoveredopera ,Imeneo in the Halle Opera House. His recent appointment to conduct The Auckland Choral Society was successfully confirmed at Holy Trinity Cahedral Auckland when on the 28th Sept 2008 an excellent concert was concluded with Bruckner's Locu Iste, Handel's Coronation Anthems and "David Roi". This new choir directing connection will lead to exciting times for Auckland City's largest choir with their annual Handel's Messiah production in December expected to rise to unsurpassed heights.External links
