March 18 ,1932 inVienna ) was anAustria n figure skater. He won the 1956 Olympicspair skating event with his partnerElisabeth Schwarz . They also won the World and the European titles that same year. They also won the Austrian National Championships from 1952 thru 1956.Schwarz and Oppelt narrowly won the 1956 Olympic title. Their rivals, two-time world champions
