December 29 , 1952 inEdmonton ,Alberta ) is a retired Canadian professionalice hockey defenceman who played 610 NHL games over a nine-season career mostly with thePhiladelphia Flyers andPittsburgh Penguins . He won theStanley Cup with the Flyers in 1974 and 1975. He also had brief stops with theEdmonton Oilers ,Winnipeg Jets andDetroit Red Wings . He is best remembered for the game played onDecember 11 ,1977 , against the Cleveland Barons, in which he scored four goals and added four assists, becoming the first defenceman and only the fourth person in NHL history to score 8 points in one game (only 12 have done it as of 2008). Hisplus/minus of +10 in that game is also an NHL record. He currently lives in Alberta, where he owns a Tim Hortons Fact|date=February 2007.External links
