Anthony Frederick (born
December 7 ,1964 inLos Angeles, California - diedMay 29 ,2003 ) was an American professionalbasketball player who was selected by theDenver Nuggets in the 6th round (133rd overall) of the1986 NBA Draft . A 6'7" forward fromSanta Monica College andPepperdine University , Frederick played in threeNBA seasons. He played for theIndiana Pacers ,Sacramento Kings and Charlotte Hornets. In his NBA career, Frederick played in 147 games and scored a total of 718 points.Frederick died of an apparent heart attack on May 29, 2003, at the age of 38. According to Los Angeles police, Frederick lost consciousness about 8:30 p.m. while he and his wife were driving in the
San Fernando Valley . Jocelyn Frederick tried to stop the car but was unsuccessful. Anthony Frederick was taken to Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Woodland Hills, where he was pronounced dead at 9:17 p.m. Anthony's last few years were spent at Pinecrest Schools in Woodland Hills where his daughter went to school. he became the coach of several elementary basketball teams at Pinecrest. He was a great basketball player, Father, Husband, Coach, and friend. He will Be Remembered forever.References
