Atlanta Braves in the 3rd round of the by|1995 amateur draft, Bell pitched in their minor league system untilNovember 10 , by|1998, when he was traded withDenny Neagle and Michael Tucker to theCincinnati Reds forBret Boone andMike Remlinger . Bell made his major league debut with the Reds onApril 8 , 2000. Bell would spend most of the next five seasons in the majors as a starter.On
June 15 , by|2001, Bell was traded to the Texas Rangers forRuben Mateo andEdwin Encarnacion . The Rangers released Bell onMarch 12 , by|2003, and five days later signed with theTampa Bay Devil Rays . After spending the next three seasons with the Devil Rays, he became afree agent after the by|2005 season. He signed with theCleveland Indians onDecember 15 , 2005, but Bell spent the entire by|2006 season with the Indians' Triple-A affiliate, theBuffalo Bisons . Bell became a minor league free agent after the season and signed with theBaltimore Orioles .Bell appeared in 30 games with the Orioles as a reliever, but was outrighted to the minors following the by|2007 season, and elected free agency. In December 2007, he signed a minor league contract with the
