Rob made it to the final three where he was then voted out. He was declared byJeff Probst to be "the smartest player to have never won Survivor".In 2004, He came back to play "Survivor: All Stars", and was voted out in the Episode 4 by his tribe, after a handshake with
Rob Mariano . The tribe voted him out because the tribe believed that Rob's savvy way of playing the game was a threat.Originally from
Wantagh, New York , Cesternino worked as a computer projects coordinator for an insurance general agency before Survivor. He had been previously employed as a store clerk, a waiter and a bartender. After receiving 1420 on hisSAT 's, he eventually went on to graduate from the honors program at theState University of New York at Oswego with a Bachelor of Arts degree inbroadcasting . Cesternino wrote his college senior thesis on "The Impact of Reality Television" and received an A. While in college, he became a member of theSigma Chi Fraternity.After appearances on Survivor, Cesternino started a website, aptly titled The Rob Show. He was hired to write a weekly newspaper column for his local paper, "The
Long Island Press ". Cesternino also began to write material for astand-up comedy act.In 2004, he moved to Los Angeles, California to begin a career in production. Rob became a founding member of
The FishBowl , an online talk radio station operated by reality television alumni.Cesternino is one of the few reality television personas that has parlayed his exposure into some legitimate credits. In 2005, he co-wrote and produced the film "
The Scorned ". In 2006, he performed the same duties, along with acting, in the film "Soup of the Day ", which was released on DVD on February 6th, 2007 through Echo Bridge Home Entertainment.Rob currently writes and produces for a number of different episodic web series which can be seen across the internet.

However, the night following the last Tribal Council, Alex informed Rob that, once they all got to the Final Four, he and the girls would vote to oust him (unless he won immunity). Rob then used this opportunity to talk withMatthew von Ertfelda the next day, and the two agreed to form a counter alliance withChristy Smith andButch Lockley . At Tribal Council, the four voted to oust a stunned Alex.
*Rob's most famous quote in "" came in the episode after he orchestrated the table-turning on Alex.Jenna Morasca confronted him about looking out for himself and he replied, "Feel free to write 'R-O-B' on your parchment tonight!"
*Rob Cesternino co-wrote and produced the 2005 horror film "The Scorned ". The film was made as part of a unique project that used reality stars to make a movie. The making of the film was chronicled as part of the E! reality series "Kill Reality ". "The Scorned" was made for a budget of under $1 million.
