July 2006 , Riki moved toDeportivo de La Coruña . During 2006-07 he was an undisputed starter. In the following season, he featured less prominently, but scored two more goals (5). In the first match of the 2008–09 season between Deportivo and Real Madrid, he was stretched off the pitch after suffering a hamstring injury. He will be out of action for around two weeks.
