Massachusetts state route that runs from Gloucester to Gloucester. All of the route is inCape Ann , and it serves as an alternate to Route 127. Route 127A was commissioned in the early 1950scite web|url=http://www.neilbert.com/findroute.php?route=127|title=MA 127A|accessdate=2006-07-13|author=Kelley, Neil|format=route log entry|work=Massachusetts Route Log|publisher=neilbert.com|language=English] .The route starts in Gloucester at Route 127, soon after, it meets the northern terminus of Route 128. The first part of Route 127A heads in a northeast direction, then northwest into Rockport. Just northwest of downtown, Route 127A rejoins Route 127.
