Griffith playedpiano and keyboards forMotown Records ' in-houseFunk Brothers studio band. Among the hundreds of Motown recordings Griffith played on are "I Heard It Through the Grapevine " byMarvin Gaye , "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch) " byFour Tops , and "Stop! In the Name of Love " byThe Supremes .Griffith played the
Steinway grand piano , the Hammond B-3 organ, theWurlitzer electric piano , theFender Rhodes , and the celeste andharpsichord . His musical influences includedBud Powell ,Glenn Gould , andOscar Peterson .References
