Nuke-Con is a not-for-profit organization, formed in 1990 in Omaha, Nebraska, dedicated to promoting the positive social, educational, and entertainment aspects in all types of gaming hobbies through their game days and annual convention.

Convention and Game Days
Nuke-Con was founded in 1990 in the Omaha, Nebraska Metro Area.
Nuke-Con is a not-for-profit, all volunteer, organization dedicated to promoting the positive social, educational, and entertainment aspects in all types of gaming hobbies.
Traditionally held the first weekend in October, Nuke-Con's annual gaming convention features a spectrum of games, from table-top and live-action role playing to board games, card games, miniature games and computer games.
Dealer tables are positioned around the edges of the main gaming room, with other events, such as an anime/SciFi room and Art Show, being located nearby.
Nuke-con actively promotes a family-friendly environment with age-appropriate games and activities for younger children.
Recent guests have included game designers James Earnest and Bruce Glassco, artists Aaron Williams and Scott Johnson, as well as Author David Wellington. Perennial guest-artist emeritus is Fredd Gorham.
Game Days are held periodically throughout the year and frequently emphasize a particular type of game. These community days are called "Aftershocks" keeping in the Strategic Nuclear theme.

Organization
Nuke-Con is governed by a board of 7 volunteer members and is registered with the State of Nebraska as a Not-for-Profit Corporation.
Nuke-Con's events, game days, and annual gaming convention are managed by an all volunteer staff.
