Air Norway, officially Air Norway as is a regional airline based at Ørland Main Air Station on Fosen in Norway. The airline wet leases Fairchild Metro aircraft from North Flying on its routes between Ørland-Oslo and Oslo-Aarborg.

The airline has seven weekly flights Ørland-Oslo and one weekly flight Oslo-Aalborg. The largest portion of passengers comes from the Royal Norwegian Air Force base at the airport.

Following the bancrupcy of Coast Air, in January 2008, the airline stepped in and is now serving Fagernes Airport Leirin with two daily flights to Oslo, and one daily flight to Trondheim. Additional routes is a weekly flight to Aalborg.

History

The airline started the Ørland-Oslo route May 23 2003 with a Fairchild Metro. On January 31 2004 the airline extended its route from Oslo to Aalborg in Denmark, the hub for the aircraft operator North Flying. The municipality of Ørland bought part of the company in 2005, and owns it together with North Flying and private investor.

Fleet

The airline wet leases one aircraft, a 19-seat Fairchild Swearingen SA-227AC Metro III from North Flying, with regisration OY-NPB.

North Flying is also contributing with other aircraft, when needed.
