Sinate is a New Zealand death / thrash metal band. Their debut album "Beyond Human" released on the September 27, 2005. "Beyond Human" was recorded in just 11 days at York St Studios. The band had previously gone under the name Desecrator.

The band disbanded when Sam Sheppard joined 8 Foot Sativa. Later Matt Sheppard also joined 8 Foot Sativa. However in June 2005, Matt and Sam Sheppard left 8 Foot Sativa to reform Sinate. Joining them would be 8 Foot Sativa guitar technician Sean Parkinson, and former Reprobate member, Antony "The Colonel" Folwell.

Since the release of their debut album, Sinate has risen to become one of New Zealand's top metal bands alongside 8 Foot Sativa and Ulcerate.Fact|date=March 2008 In January 2007, Sinate played the annual Big Day out festival, with 44,000 in attendance. They will also be heading over to Brisbane, Aus June 08' to play BrutalFest 2 and a headline show of their own.

Sam Sheppard has recntly received Full Paiste Endorsement. THis is very rare for a New Zealand Musician and he is very proud of this.

Sinate will be heading off on a Final New Zealand Tour which includes some 18 shows before heading off to America to record their 3rd album, after which they plan to stay overseas for as long as possible and spread New Zealand Metal to the World.
